Kobudo

"Kobudo", which literally translated means "Ancient Martial Ways", is a separate martial art, but closely related to karate.  Kobudo training is vitally important for many reasons.  Not only does Kobudo preserve an ancient Okinawan fighting art from being eroded by time, it enhances the practitioner's karate technique.  By training in weapons the individual develops a strong mental attitude, power, speed, focus and experience the "realness" of combat through Kobudo kumite.

 

The following weapons kata and kumite are taught according to the student's rank and abilities:
